【 Structural Analysis 】
The structure of a fast thermocouple is mainly composed of a temperature thermocouple head and a large paper tube. The thermocouple head mainly consists of positive and negative thermocouple wires welded to the compensation wire for fast thermocouple, and the compensation wire is embedded in the bracket. The bracket is covered with a small paper tube, and the thermocouple wire is supported and protected by quartz. Equipped with an anti slag cap on the outside, all components are concentrated in the mud head and glued together with a fire-resistant filling agent, making it non detachable and therefore disposable.
【Working principle】
Based on the thermoelectric effect of metals, the temperature difference generated at both ends of thermocouples is used to measure the temperature of molten steel and high melting metals. Two different components of conductors are welded at both ends to form a circuit. The direct measurement end is called the working end (hot end), and the wiring terminal end is called the cold end. When there is a temperature difference between the hot end and the cold end, a thermal current will be generated in the circuit. When connected to a display instrument, the corresponding temperature value of the generated thermoelectric electromotive force will be indicated on the instrument, and the electromotive force will increase with the increase of temperature.
【Instructions for use】
1. Based on the measurement object, select an appropriate length of protective paper tube and a suitable temperature measuring gun
2. Install the fast thermocouple on the temperature measuring gun and reset the secondary instrument pointer (or digital display) to zero. This indicates good contact and measurement is possible
3. It is advisable for steel mills to use a fast thermocouple to insert into the molten steel at a depth of 300mm to 400mm, and for casting small furnaces at a depth of 50mm to 60mm. When measuring, do not measure on the furnace wall or slag, and ensure that it is fast, stable, and accurate. When the secondary instrument obtains results, the gun should be immediately lifted. The immersion time of the fast thermocouple in the molten steel should not exceed 5 seconds, otherwise it is easy to burn the temperature measuring gun.
4. After removing the temperature measuring gun from the furnace, remove the used thermocouple and install a new one. Pause for a few minutes to prepare for the next measurement. It is not allowed to measure and disassemble continuously, otherwise it will cause temperature fluctuations.
