Dry Type Iron Core Shunt Reactor
Uses
In high voltage long distance power transmission systems,shunt reactors are usually used in parallel at the low-voltage side of 220kV~500kV transformer substations or in the transformer's tertiary coils to compensate capacitive charging current in long-distance lines and limit voltage rise and switching overvoltage,and lower the system's insulation level requirements and ensure reliable operation of lines accordingly.
Features
★ Freedom from oil and pollution
Instead of conventional oil-immersed paper insulation structure,poured epoxy resin is used as insulating media.
★ Little maintenance
The poured epoxy resin tightly solidifies the coils to be a whole.The reactor therefore becomes one free from maintenance
(requiring little maintenance).
★ Low noise
Iron cores are stacked quality cold-rolled steel and the limb is subject to special treatment so as to solidify the disc as a
whole.Therefore,the reactor produces little vibration and low noise in running.Large capacity reactors adopt fan-shaped disc structure.The discs of the limb employs coilsto connect each other and the edge joint between cores employs flexible coupling.
★ Low temperature rise and long life
Computers are used for optimum design to control total reactor losses in terms of design.Multiple layers of air passage are distributed in the coils to provide natural ventilation,so that there are ideal conditions for heat dissipation.The core adopts plate-like clamps instead of average channel steel-like clamps,reducing reactor's stray loss and facilitating heat dissipation.
★ Small size
Core reactors are small in size,light in weight and easy for installation,especially applicable to city grid transformer
substations and underground transformer substations.
★ Minor magnetic leakage
Computer-aided optimum design makes it possible to control,in respect of design,the design scheme of small reactor air gap,keeping reactor's magnetic leakage so small in running that it is applicable to microcomputer monitor transformer substations having special requirements for electromagnetic interference.
